A few years ago I was given a PDP-11/34a. When I went to pick the machine up, the owner also offered me an Interdata Model 74. I snapped this up immediately as it was such a beautiful little machine. It is built along similar lines to DEC machines with a common 7 slot backplane connecting a series of cards together. Unfortunately the machine didn’t come with a PSU so I will have to source a replacement.
I’ve now decided that my restoration skills have reached the level where I can start the long road to getting this machine back up and running. My plan is to initially get the CPU back into an operational state and then start to recreate peripherals for it. Ultimately I aim to have a paper tape drive, some form of digital cassette storage and a console.
